After his epic firing from Two and a Half Men (and the drama that preceded it), Charlie Sheen is hoping for a second chance.
He just may get it when his new FX comedy Anger Management premieres June 28. Speaking to Access Hollywood Thursday, the actor, 46, said he wants people to remember him for his new show and not for the drama surrounding his firing from the CBS sitcom
"I said, 'The only thing that's going to slow us down here is laughter,'" Sheen told the Anger Management crew on their first day of shooting. "I can't have [what happened with Two and a Half Men] be my legacy. Something like this is such a better opportunity to really go out on a real strong note."

Sheen said that given what's happened over the past few years, he's more committed to being a father than an actor. "They're doing great," he responded when asked about his five children. "That's why I'm excited about this show possibly being my swan song. Then I can leave that behind and just be a full-time dad."
"I'm not saying I’m done forever," Sheen clarified. "I mean, I [just want to] take some time off and do some movies or more TV. I don't know. I don't really have a plan."
Though he doesn't feel any resentment towards the cast and crew of Two and a Half Men, he's happy to be of the series. "I'm in an environment, finally, that is about celebrating the work and the people that do it and I'm surrounded by experts on every front," he told Access Hollywood. "It's really exciting."
