Despite his many scandals in the past, fans still find a rather awkward Charlie Sheen fan encounter endearing.
When hearing the name Charlie Sheen, there's a high probability the first association the audience may come up with, is some of the actor's and film producer's wild history. Although the actor's mostly known for his role as Charlie Harper on the American sitcom Two and A Half Men, some may recognize him from '80s classics such as Platoon, and Wall Street.
Born in a family of well-known actors, Sheen's career path was decided pretty much from the get-go. The fans of pop culture are quite well aware that Sheen's fame and popularity isn't at all what it used to be. All the scandals, legal battles, and wild spending have led to Sheen losing nearly $100 million, bringing Charlie's net worth down to $10 million.
Despite Sheen's stardom gradually decreasing, he is still a celebrity after all. In all likelihood, not a day goes by without the actor getting noticed and stopped on the street. One of these classic Charlie Sheen fan encounters has been positively recognized by the public, after fans stumbled upon the actor at Taco Bell in a drunken state.
Charlie Sheen Has Been Known For Scandals Since Long Before Two And A Half Men
Being drunk in public at Taco Bell may have been a new one for the actor, but Charlie Sheen's scandals started long ago, before getting cast on Two and a Half Men. After rising to fame through an Oscar-winning Best Picture Platoon in 1986, the actor disclosed his battles with alcohol addiction after checking himself into a rehab (this would be the first out of his many stays at the institution).
Most of his turbulent relationships, such as with Brittany Ashland, didn't last very long due to Sheen's allegedly aggressive nature when under the influence. Domestic violence disputes continued with Charlie's now-ex wife Brooke Mueller, but the actor's relationship with his ex-wife Denise Richards is the one drawing attention the most lately, thanks to Richards and Sheen's daughter's OnlyFans habit.
Sheen's Two and A Half Men days were sadly not any less problematic. Show creator Chuck Lorre ended up killing Charlie's character off after the hateful remarks Sheen said about him. He called him names, and claimed that Lorre had “dictatorial laziness.”
The actor went on to sue Lorre for firing him; Lorre later admitted he regretted firing Charlie. Despite all the unfortunate drama that went on behind the scenes, Sheen helped Two and a Half Men make $155 million during his last season, and Charlie made three times the salary of his co-star Jon Cryer.
Even after leaving the show, Charlie still has a massive fan base, and one that doesn't necessarily care about all of his scandals. At least, two fans who ran into him at Taco Bell were thrilled to meet Sheen in person, despite the awkward nature of the encounter.
Two Lucky Fans Met A Drunk Charlie Sheen At Taco Bell
It's not every day fans get to meet a famous star at a random fast-food chain. But two lucky fans has had the chance to meet Charlie Sheen himself while waiting at a Taco Bell drive-through.
The actor was recorded greeting other people in line when the recorder shouted at Sheen, telling the actor that his passenger is a big fan of the actor.
To their surprise, the star walked over to them with a smile on his face, warning the fans that he's currently under alcoholic influence. Sheen politely introduced himself, and shook the driver's hand to greet them. Given the actor's slightly unbuttoned shirt revealing numerous tattoos on his chest, the fans took the chance to ask about them. The star had no problem showing them the designs in detail.
Given Sheen's public status, the fans would probably expect to see different behavior from the actor. The friendly approach, and soft-spoken words pleasantly surprised the online community.
Fans Were Thrilled With The 'Regular People' Charlie
The online community was thrilled to see a celebrity act like a regular person. One user stated that it "looks like he was having a good time, no trouble was caused, he's a good guy."
Many were trying to imagine the surrealistic scenario of stumbling upon a Hollywood celebrity walking out of a bush at Taco Bell. The fans found the fact that the actor introduced himself hilarious. Others were complimenting Sheen's ability to handle his liquor, and treat others like a gentleman while drunk.
In spite of Hollywood basically canceling Sheen, and ending his career with the Anger Management in 2014, the fans still appreciate seeing the humane side of him. Even if that 'human side' involves a bit too much alcohol, of course. However, Charlie reportedly achieved sobriety in 2017; it's not clear when the two fans encountered him inebriated at Taco Bell.
